Victoria Ground

Pleasant and well cared for ground where the club has been since 1910. Sits in the centre of the town. Not so long ago a conference team (1992-97) but clearly now facilities would not be up to that standard. After leaving the conference the club slipped well down the non-league pyramid into the Midland Alliance. Promotion in 2001-2 back into the Doc Martens league stopped the rot. The ground has a capacity of 4900 though I suspect that might now be less. Entrance through a grand set of wrought iron gates. There is a single main stand that seats 350 along one side of the pitch with covered terracing behind one goal and along the other side. The remaining area behind the goal near the gates is uncovered terracing.
The club seems to have continued its decline recently and having just checked the excellent site for all things non-league (http://www.tonykempster.co.uk/) I see that Bromsgrove are this season 2004-5 playing in the newly created Southern League but not in their premier equivalent but in a regional league that for me equates with the “old” Ryman’s Division 1. Thus 3 promotions would be needed to get them back into the Conference.
