Central Park

For once the name of the ground gives away its location as being in central Cowdenbeath. There are some unique features to this ground for sure. To start with the ground is set within an oval shape as there is a racing track (Cars) around the outside of the pitch. As a result of this the stands and terracing are well set back from the pitch and one wonders about any ability to create an atmosphere. Furthermore there is a huge metal fence that surrounds the track (presumably to stop cars flying off and hitting people or even players doing a “Cantona”. Again this can do zero for atmosphere or even the ability to see a game.
Along one side of the pitch there are two separate “main” stands with one being much more recent than the other. In fact it is difficult to see if the older stand indeed contains any seats as it is primarily wooden. Around the rest of the ground there is no cover but only segmented areas of rudimentary uncovered terracing.
A real non-league or lower Scottish league ground. The capacity is 5,268.
