I used to have a school friend who lived in the Alverstoke area of Gosport and he took me to this ground many years ago. To me it does not seem to be any different from how I remember it from 30 years ago. Essentially the ground is a single but generous sized main stand with little else. The other three sides are standing areas pitchside with grass and a little concrete. Quite an atmospheric ground none the less. I presume that this ground would need some substantial work done to elevate it to Doctor Marten's premier league status and that this aim for the club must be some way off yet.
