It is always nice to come across an unexpected football ground. I had never heard of the place let alone known that it owned a rather quaint football team!

The ground is of a standard that puts it in the lower reaches of the Ryman’s League or perhaps in the echelons of a grand combined Counties League ground! The pitch is surrounded by obligatory white railings with concrete walkways (single layer terracing) all the way around. There is a cute but small main stand with an equally small covered terraced stand opposite. The town is fairly rural hence the ground is too. Nice views of fields and suchlike. Large trees on two sides prevent birds and wildanimals from getting a free view of the football. Oh and they play as in season 2004-5 in the Northern League. Not currently with much success though!

“A curious entry though suggests that music is also important here “Without doubt the best music venue in the town and in fact the whole area is
The Guisborough R&B Club, which is based at Guisborough Football Club. If you haven’t tried it yet you are missing out on some exceptional music and musicians.”
