An excellent ground. As of October 2002 Ipswich have now been unbeaten in over 30 European games played here and I think I can see the reason why. There is far less space between stands and the pitch than in many other (particularly the modern grounds such as Bolton, Reading, Middlesborough) and this creates for a real atmosphere.
There are 4 separate stands all essentially two-tiered to some degree. The only problem with the ground is the huge amount of building work that is going on around it meaning that one must be some sort of master in orienteering or have a GPS system in order to find the way to the correct stand or even ticket office. That is however my only complaint. Parking is surprisingly good. This is what I see as a real football ground that by being enlarged has been improved but not with the loss of any of the real football atmosphere.
