Filbert Street

These photos were taken on 2 separate occasions towards the end of a very difficult relegation season.
Not much atmosphere and in all honesty I cannot say that I much liked the ground. It is built in a residential part of the city and indeed has houses surrounding it directly on 2 sides. Car parking is seven kinds of nightmare.
Essentially there is a large multi-tiered stand on one side that looks modern and a low old-fashioned stand on the opposite side (seems to be given to the away fans). Behind one goal a small stand again and behind the other a larger stand. The ground seemed very dated and unloved.
As of season 2002-3 Leicester have built a new ground about 200 yards away.
