An example of a pitch with no grass. Maybe this is where chelsea got the idea from for that infamous game vs Charlton. This is a fairly typical sort of ground that I guess is on a level with maybe Ryman's league teams over here. Some covered terracing along one side to provide shade for spectators is the only evidence of a stand. Such beautiful views though. For those who do not know the area mijas is around 20 miles from Malaga on the southern coast. Mijas is 1-2 miles inland though and up in the hills. It is the town where James Hunt ( the motor racing driver ) used to live many years ago.
