McCain Stadium

An excellent stadium for conference level but of course the club were recently in the football league. An old small "main stand" I imagine was there long before league status beckoned. The building next door looks rather like a factory than any part of a modern football ground. Small areas of terracing are next to the stand on either side. Behind both goals there are new all-seater stand that look the same. Both very good. On the other pitchside there is covered terracing with the sort of cover that makes the stand look old. There are similar looking stands at Darlington (Feethams) and also Gravesend/Northfleet. Around the ground you can see mountains and trees and in my opinion this is a nice football ground that is totally appropriate for this level of football.
