Bower Fold

Without question this is one of the best sets of photographs that I have been able to take of a football ground. I was indeed lucky with the light and ability to walk around the whole ground. But what a great ground. Surrounded by trees it is like a ground in the middle of the countryside.
The ground looks quite modern. Behind one goal there is covered terracing with the stand and the railings painted a light blue colour. A hill and trees form a perfect backdrop. On the far side there is a small all-seater stand with uncovered terracing on either side. Similar covered terracing is also behind the opposite goal. The main stand is a decent size and the current capacity is stated as 6,150.
The club were actually once a league club in 1921-23 and the club have been at this ground since 1909. The club play in the Conference North in 2004-5 season.
