Walton are my second club and some history should be told. Around 1970 they were one of the top amateur sides and even won the Amateur cup. Disaster then struck as their manager Allen Batsford joined Wimbledon and took most of the squad with him. This included Dave Bassett. Wimbledon acheived league status in 2 years and Walton faded away to the Rymans league, where they currently just about hover in Div 1.
They have a nice little ground and a crowd of maybe 300 will generate good atmosphere there. So,you must excuse my indulgence with a large number of photographs. The ground itself is fairly typical for Rymans Div 1 or premier, and has a small stand with a longer covered terrace.
