A ground best described as a proper football ground. Something here makes me think it is, could be or will be a league ground one day. Huge gates and proper turnstiles welcome you into the club. The ground is surrounded on three sides by trees and has a rural feel to it. Along one side of the pitch is open terracing with a large covered stand (The Cowshed) placed in the corner part of one end. Behind each goal there is open terracing with green corrugated fences behind. The main stand (called the New Stand and built in 1963) is a long one not unlike many others. Maybe most like the old stand at Tooting and Mitcham’s ground in Sandy Lane or even Chesterfield. The huge old floodlights again suggest that you will see a proper football game here!
Capacity is 3443 but the club are actively seeking a new ground elsewhere.
